The Puddleducks' Approach

The Puddleducks' Approach

Our Vision, Ethos & Beliefs

At Puddleducks we believe that each child is a unique individual who should be cared for and stimulated in a way that allows them to maximise their potential.  All our little ducks will be provided with opportunities to develop their independence, self-esteem, self-confidence and other life skills through creative learning experiences in a safe and inspiring environment.

Puddleducks has always prided itself on ‘challenging the norms’ of Early Years’ practice.  Being different can be uncomfortable for many, but our incredible team embrace it .  They believe wholeheartedly that what we do IS different in the most positive way for our children and their families.

The team have been instrumental in developing and implementing ‘The Puddleducks Approach’- it blends together the best of best practice to maximise the potential for all the children that we care for.   Our focus is on a child’s emotional wellbeing, helping them understand big emotions and how to best manage these – from babies, right through to pre-school.   Our team nurtures and cares for children in a way that helps them to build resilience to life’s challenges.  In Puddleducks we ‘Care for the heart while caring for the mind’.

Our team has the training, knowledge and understanding to recognise the importance of developing self-esteem, self-confidence and independence in the early years and work tirelessly to form and build secure attachments with each child…love and hugs are important.

Confident Independent Learners

• When our children feel happy, safe and secure, they will learn. We believe that Puddleducks is a wonderful place to be a child and where a child can achieve wonderful things.

Positive Impact for Life

•High quality early years experiences help children to become stimulated and excited by the fun of learning through play. These experiences build the foundations for healthy relationships, self-regulation, conflict resolution and so much more.
